What battery does the Mares Puck use?
A single Sony CR2450 3V lithium coin cell — the same battery used across the Puck, Puck Air Mission, Puck 2 and Puck 3 range. Our kit ships with a battery dated to 2028, plus a genuine O-ring and silicone grease.
How long does the Mares Puck battery last?
Mares doesn't publish one fixed figure for this range — CR2450-powered dive computers typically run from around 100 to a few hundred dives, depending on backlight use and water temperature. Replace it as soon as the low-battery warning appears on the display.
Do I need a new O-ring every time I change the battery?
Yes — always fit the new O-ring with a thin film of silicone grease when you change the battery, just like the D4 and Polar kits above; it's what keeps the compartment sealed to depth.
